What they need

Are you passionate about people, food, and creating great workplace experiences?

We're looking for a Catering and Facilities Manager to lead our catering and facilities team at Cannington and help deliver our vision of creating a welcoming, safe, and thriving community for our co-owners.

More than just a canteen, our restaurant is the heart of the site. Serving over 220 co-owners across four shifts, it is where people come together to connect, recharge, and build a sense of belonging. Our workforce is multicultural and diverse, and we see food as a powerful way of bringing people together. We're looking for someone who can engage with co-owners from all backgrounds, understanding and celebrating different cultures through an inclusive, nutritious, and varied food offering that makes everyone feel welcome.

You'll play a key role in creating an exceptional customer experience, ensuring every co-owner feels valued through great service, healthy and nourishing food, and an environment that reflects our values and purpose.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Catering and Facilities team.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that celebrates the diversity of our workforce.
  • Deliver an outstanding food and customer service experience for all co-owners.
  • Develop nutritious, high-quality menus that reflect the diverse cultures and preferences of our workforce while minimising waste.
  • Manage catering and facilities budgets, suppliers, and operational performance.
  • Enhance and expand food offerings across all shifts, including night shift provision.
  • Oversee the onsite staff shop, honesty fridge, and vending services.
  • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support the development of catering facilities and services.
  • Work alongside the engagement lead to deliver events for our co-owners.
  • Experience leading and developing a catering, hospitality, or food service team.
  • A genuine passion for people, food and creating positive workplace experience.
  • An appreciation of different cultures and the ability to connect with a diverse workforce through food and hospitality.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, sustainable food sourcing, and healthy food provision.
  • Strong organisational, budget management & supplier management skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communications skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and bringing new ideas to life.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements.
  • Full UK Driving licence.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a service that has a real impact on our co-owners every day. You'll help shape a canteen that is more than a place to eat; it's the social hub of our factory, bringing people together through exceptional food, outstanding service, and a shared commitment to wellbeing, inclusion, and sustainability. Through your leadership, you'll help create a place where every co-owner feels welcomed, valued, and represented.

We’re independent, British and proud to be making the highest quality yogurts, desserts and ice cream under the Yeo Valley brand and for many of the UK’s major retailers. We’re sure you don’t need convincing, but there’s a whole host of benefits that we offer. It goes without saying that you'll have access to free parking, top of the range personal protection equipment (PPE).

You'll Also Receive The Following

  • Competitive holiday allowance
  • Non-contributory pension scheme
  • Life cover
  • Healthcare cash back plan
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Subsidised Yeo Valley products and services preferential rates with our partners learning and development opportunities; we’re committed to ensuring all of our employees have the chance to grow.

Our closing dates are a guide for when the application window should close, although we may close the advert sooner if we can. So, we recommend you get your application in straight away - and don’t miss the opportunity to join us!

Unfortunately, we’re not able to provide employment sponsorship to candidates at this moment in time. Please note that Yeo Valley do not accept speculative agency applications; we will only accept applications from preferred suppliers that have been submitted to us via our recruitment portal at the point of instruction.
