Catering Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the preparation and service of food at various events and establishments, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food safety, and delivering excellent guest services. Duties

• Assist with food preparation, presentation, and plating to meet event specifications and hygiene standards
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Support the setup and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, chairs, and serving stations
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
• Deliver catering orders to customers on site
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed throughout service
• Provide exceptional customer services by addressing customer needs promptly and politely
• Handle phone enquiries professionally, taking orders
• Support team members with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation during events

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant work, or catering is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Knowledge of food preparation, safety standards, and hygiene practices is desirable
• Experience as a delivery driver or in roles such as barista or hotel staff is beneficial
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
• A friendly demeanour with a passion for guest services and culinary excellence
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings if required

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 per week
