Catering Assistant (Part-Time 18 Hours Per Week)

We have an opportunity for a part time Catering Assistant working 18 hours per week within our very friendly, Prestwood Coach House care home on the Prestwood estate, just outside Stourbridge.

Duties are to assist the cooks/chefs who prepare meals for between 30-35 clients each day and include pot-wash and use of a commercial dishwasher, some basic food preparation and cooking and the plating of both hot and cold meals ready for service. Shift times are 08:00am - 14:00pm or 10.00am-6.00 pm 3-5 days per week. Weekend duties are worked on a rota basis. This post is ideal for those who want to work in catering but are unable or do not wish to work evenings.

As this role is within a care home environment the post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure, the cost (currently £64) of which is to be met by the successful applicant.

Prestwood care homes are not on a bus route so applicants will find it helpful to have other means of transport.
