Catering Assistant - Part Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of catering services by assisting with food preparation, service, and clean-up. Duties

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with company standards.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensure all serving areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic throughout shifts.
• Support with setting up catering events
• Clear away used crockery, cutlery, and waste promptly after service.
• Restock supplies and maintain stock levels during shifts.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
• Assist with general cleaning duties in kitchen and service areas to uphold cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
