Catering Assistant (Part-Time)

Sis’s Cafe & Catering is looking for a part-time Catering Assistant to help prepare, deliver, set up, and serve catering orders for Anchorage meetings and events.

Pay: $18–20 per hour in base pay, based on relevant experience, plus tips. Tip earnings vary.

Schedule: Monday–Friday. Start times vary with catering orders, typically 8–9 AM and approximately 6–7 AM for breakfast catering.

Home base: 5445 Old Seward Hwy, Anchorage, AK 99518, with work at local catering locations.

What you’ll do

• Prepare drinks, paper goods, supplies, trays, and displays for catering orders.

• Check food and equipment against event instructions before departure.

• Deliver catering orders using your own reliable car and help set up service areas.

• Serve food, assist guests, and communicate event changes with the catering team.

• Follow food safety procedures and help with cleanup and equipment organization.

What we’re looking for

• Catering experience, with at least one year preferred. Tell us about the events and tasks you have personally handled.

• Organization, clear communication, dependable attendance, and a calm approach during busy service.

• Availability for the listed weekday and early-morning start times.

• A valid driver’s license and a reliable car for catering deliveries.

• Food Handler Certification.
