Job Summary

Freebirds is seeking a Part-Time Catering Call Agent to support

inbound catering inquiries and orders while providing an exceptional guest

experience from first contact through order completion. The exact schedule will be determined based on business needs and discussed during the interview process. The Part-Time Catering Call Agent serves as the primary point of contact for catering guests, managing inquiries and orders received via phone, email, online ordering platforms, ezCater, and other approved channels. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, accurately processing orders, maximizing catering opportunities through suggestive selling, and ensuring a seamless experience for guests and restaurant teams. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

What You'll Do

As a Part-Time Catering Call Agent, you'll manage inbound catering opportunities from inquiry through order placement while providing timely, accurate, and professional service to every guest. You'll act as the communication link between catering guests and restaurant teams, ensuring order details, special requests, delivery information, and payment needs are clearly communicated. You'll also help identify opportunities to increase order value by recommending additional menu items and catering enhancements based on guest needs. This role combines guest service, order management, and light sales support to help deliver an exceptional Freebirds catering experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound catering inquiries and orders received via phone, email, online ordering platforms, ezCater, and other approved channels.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and provide timely follow-up on open quotes, leads, and catering opportunities.
• Accurately enter, update, and confirm catering orders, including guest information, menu selections, guest counts, delivery or pickup details, special instructions, and payment information.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for catering guests, managing order changes, questions, special requests, issue resolution, and service recovery needs.
• Coordinate with restaurant teams to support successful catering execution and proactively identify potential order concerns.
• Recommend add-ons, beverages, desserts, chips and dips, additional proteins, upgrades, and other menu enhancements to maximize catering sales opportunities.
• Follow up on catering inquiries, repeat guest opportunities, holidays, promotions, and local events as directed.
• Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, orders, follow-up activity, and sales opportunities.
• Deliver a professional, friendly, and solutions-oriented experience with every guest interaction.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, catering, restaurant operations, sales, or call center environments preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent phone presence and customer-service mindset.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable learning and using online ordering systems, CRM tools, and catering platforms such as OLO and ezCater.
• Ability to identify guest needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Strong problem-solving skills, follow-through, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with restaurant and support center teams.
• Flexibility to work a part-time schedule based on business needs. Specific hours and scheduling requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
