Job Description

Two Crepes Catering is looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-friendly Catering Event Cook & Driver to join our team.

This is a hands-on catering position where you will drive to events, help with setup, cook and serve guests, and return the team and equipment after the event.

Our team travels throughout New Jersey and New York City providing live catering experiences for corporate events, private parties, weddings, schools, residential buildings, and other special events.

No professional cooking experience is required. We provide training on our stations, recipes, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

As a Catering Event Cook & Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Drive company vehicles from our Union City location to events throughout NJ and NYC
• Transport team members, catering carts, equipment, food, and supplies
• Help load and unload catering equipment
• Set up catering stations at event locations
• Cook and prepare food live in front of guests
• Serve guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Learn and operate our different catering stations and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the event
• Keep the catering station clean, organized, and presentable
• Break down and pack the station after the event
• Load equipment back into the vehicle
• Drive the team and equipment back to our Union City location
• Help keep company vehicles and equipment clean and organized

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time, event-based position with a flexible schedule.

Our events take place at different times depending on our clients, including weekdays, mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

You do not need to be available every day.

We welcome candidates looking for:

• Part-time work
• Weekend-only work
• A few days per week
• Flexible/event-based work

You will provide us with your availability, and shifts will be scheduled based on your availability and our upcoming events.

Because our catering schedule changes from week to week, flexibility and reliability are very important. Once you accept an event or shift, we expect you to be punctual and committed to that event.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Safe and responsible driving record
• Comfortable driving vans and larger vehicles
• Comfortable driving in New York City
• Reliable and punctual
• Friendly personality and strong customer service skills
• Comfortable interacting directly with guests
• Willing to learn how to cook and operate our catering stations
• Comfortable cooking live in front of customers
• Able to work in a fast-paced event environment
• Able to stand for several hours
• Able to lift approximately 40–50 lbs
• Comfortable loading and unloading catering equipment
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Customer Service Is Important

This is more than a driving position.

Our chefs work live and directly in front of our guests, so customer service is a major part of the job.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, polite, professional, and comfortable talking with customers while preparing and serving food.

A positive attitude and the ability to make guests feel welcome are very important to us.

No Professional Cooking Experience Required

Previous restaurant, catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus, but professional cooking experience is not required.

We will train you on our recipes, equipment, setup procedures, food preparation, service standards, and event procedures.

We are more interested in finding someone who is reliable, willing to learn, comfortable with customers, and takes responsibility seriously.

Two Crepes Catering is a live onsite catering company based in Union City, NJ.

We specialize in interactive food and beverage experiences, including:

• Live Crepe Stations
• Barista & Coffee Experiences
• Live Omelette Stations
• Bubble Tea Stations
• Other interactive catering experiences

Our team travels throughout the NY/NJ area and works a wide variety of corporate and private events.
