Catering Event Server (Part-Time)

Join a fast-paced, professional catering team with one of the area’s premier catering companies. We are seeking reliable and service-oriented Catering / Banquet Waitstaff to provide exceptional food and beverage service at weddings, corporate events, banquets, and private functions.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working events, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in delivering polished, attentive service.

Event Setup & Preparation

• Assist with setting up banquet rooms and event spaces according to event orders and company standards
• Arrange tables, linens, place settings, glassware, and décor as directed
• Set up beverage stations, buffets, and food displays as needed
• Ensure all event areas are clean, organized, and guest-ready prior to service

Service Responsibilities

• Greet guests professionally and contribute to a welcoming event atmosphere
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, accurately, and courteously
• Clear tables discreetly and reset areas as needed during service
• Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Communicate any guest concerns or service issues to the Banquet Captain

Post-Event Breakdown

• Assist with clearing tables, packing equipment, and returning items to storage
• Remove linens, glassware, and supplies after events
• Leave event spaces clean, organized, and ready for breakdown or load-out
• Report damaged or missing items to the Banquet Captain or Event Manager

Teamwork & Professional Standards

• Work collaboratively with banquet captains, kitchen staff, and fellow servers
• Follow supervisor instructions and adapt quickly to changing event needs
• Uphold company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred (not required)
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are required
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification
