Catering Logistics Associate

Job Summary

Deluxe Fun Dining is seeking a Catering Logistics Associate to support catering operations, coordinate event supplies, organize food deliveries, and assist with the timely preparation and transportation of catering orders. This role works with kitchen staff, event coordinators, drivers, and vendors to ensure catering materials and food orders are prepared, transported, and delivered accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for catering orders, events, and food service deliveries.
• Organize catering schedules, delivery timelines, and event requirements.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to confirm order quantities, preparation times, and packaging needs.
• Prepare and organize catering supplies, serving equipment, utensils, and packaging materials.
• Verify catering orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper labeling.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting catering supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, event staff, and customers regarding delivery arrangements.
• Monitor delivery schedules and communicate delays or changes to relevant team members.
• Maintain accurate catering order records, delivery documentation, and inventory lists.
• Track catering supplies and report shortages or damaged equipment.
• Ensure food and catering materials are handled and transported according to applicable safety standards.
• Assist with event setup, service preparation, and post-event breakdown when required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage and staging areas.
• Perform additional catering logistics and operational duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous catering, restaurant, food service, delivery, warehouse, or logistics experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple orders, schedules, and deadlines.
• Basic computer and recordkeeping proficiency.
• Good attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move catering supplies safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting catering events or food service logistics.
• Familiarity with delivery scheduling and order management systems.
• Knowledge of food handling, storage, and transportation procedures.
• Strong time-management and problem-solving abilities.
