About the role

Yummy Food Fabrication & Chain Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Manager to join our team in the North Region. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead our catering operations and drive excellence across all aspects of service delivery. As Catering Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing large-scale food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role is crucial to our mission of delivering outstanding catering experiences and will require you to oversee multiple teams, manage budgets, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily catering operations, including food preparation, plating, and service across multiple events and client engagements
• Manage and supervise catering staff, including scheduling, training, performance management and development
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Plan menus and coordinate with kitchen teams to ensure high-quality food production that meets client specifications and dietary requirements
• Monitor food costs and inventory levels, implementing cost-control measures to optimise profitability whilst maintaining quality
• Liaise with clients to understand their catering needs, expectations and preferences, ensuring all events are executed flawlessly
• Manage equipment and ensure all facilities are properly maintained and operational
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and address any client concerns promptly and professionally
• Maintain detailed records of events, staff performance, budgets and operational metrics
• Contribute to the development of new catering packages and service offerings to expand business opportunities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience in catering or food service management, preferably in a high-volume or multi-event environment
• Proven track record of successfully managing catering teams and delivering large-scale events with excellence
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene regulations and compliance requirements within the hospitality industry
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients and external partners
• Proficiency in budget management, cost control and financial planning
• Relevant qualifications such as a Catering Management diploma, Food Safety Certification or equivalent experience in catering operations
• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in staff training, motivation and performance management
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques and culinary standards
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends and public holidays as required by event schedules
