Location: Remote United States / Seattle, WA

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 Base + Benefits

We are recruiting an experienced CATIA CAA Developer to join a leading global aerospace and engineering organisation, supporting the development, maintenance and modernisation of complex engineering software applications.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a software engineer with strong C/C++ programming experience , a background in CAD/PLM systems , and experience working with complex applications across Unix/Linux environments.

You will play an important role in maintaining business-critical engineering systems, enhancing existing applications and supporting ongoing technology modernisation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement and maintain complex engineering software applications.
• Support and enhance existing CAD and engineering application environments, including legacy systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot applications operating across Unix, Solaris and Linux platforms.
• Develop and implement solutions using C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Analyse business and engineering requirements to identify opportunities for application improvements.
• Support software upgrades, system integration, application refactoring and modernisation activities.
• Investigate and resolve complex software, application architecture and performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, technical stakeholders and cross-functional departments.
• Contribute to software documentation, development standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software development experience , particularly with C/C++.
• Strong experience developing and supporting applications in Unix/Linux environments .
• Experience with complex engineering software applications, ideally within CAD, PLM or engineering design systems.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server or Teradata.
• Experience with version control and configuration management tools such as Git, ClearCase or similar.
• Experience developing software solutions using Java or other modern programming languages.
• Understanding of web application development and enterprise software integration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, CAA (Component Application Architecture) or 3DEXPERIENCE .
• Experience developing or customising CAD/PLM applications.
• Familiarity with Solaris operating systems and legacy Unix applications.
• Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, TFS, GitLab or similar development tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
