Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for caring for livestock, maintaining the health and safety of the cattle, and supporting daily farm activities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations on the farm, contributing to the overall success of our livestock management. Duties

• Assist with daily cattle care routines, including feeding, watering, and herding livestock to designated areas
• Calving in the spring
• Hauling cattle
• Monitor cattle health and behavior, reporting any signs of illness or injury promptly
• Maintain clean and safe working environments around pens, barns, and grazing areas
• Operate farm machinery such as tractors, feeders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform heavy lifting tasks involved in moving feed bags, fencing materials, or equipment as needed
• Support pasture management activities like fencing repairs and pasture rotation
• Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure personal safety and that of fellow team members

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate and troubleshoot farm machinery effectively
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and with proper technique
• Experience or familiarity with farm machinery operation is preferred
• Strong physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Basic understanding of livestock behavior and health monitoring techniques
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards farm responsibilities

Pay: $27.00-$40.00 per hour
