C/C++ Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server-side/backend applications using C/C++.
• Enhance, modernize, and refactor existing C/C++ applications to improve functionality and maintainability.
• Participate across the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
• Analyze existing code and implement improvements to performance, scalability, reliability, and code quality.
• Work with the existing Python-based test framework to develop, maintain, and execute automated tests.
• Debug and troubleshoot application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Work with backend data stores and write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust backend solutions.
• Perform code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous improvement of the existing application architecture.
• Support deployment and maintenance activities across development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ backend development.
• Experience working on and modernizing legacy or existing C/C++ applications.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Python, preferably with Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of backend application architecture and server-side development.
• Experience optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
