CCTV Control Room Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and proactive CCTV Control Room Operator to oversee security operations within our control room. In this vital role, you will monitor live video feeds, ensure the safety of premises, and respond swiftly to security incidents. You will be working within a team for controllers and response drivers.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor multiple CCTV camera feeds to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Conduct regular visual inspections of surveillance equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Respond promptly to alarms or alerts, assessing situations accurately and initiating appropriate actions.
• Document all incidents, observations, and security activities clearly through detailed report writing.
• Coordinate with our own response drivers.
• Coordinate with emergency services or first responders in case of incidents requiring immediate attention.
• Maintain accurate logs of surveillance activities, shift reports, and incident records.
• Assist in routine checks of security systems and recommend maintenance or upgrades as needed.
• Do daily camera checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in surveillance operations or security monitoring is preferred.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to identify unusual or suspicious behavior quickly.
• Excellent report writing skills for documenting incidents and daily activities comprehensively.
• Ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts, managing multiple screens simultaneously.
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and emergency responders.
• Certification or training in security operations or CCTV management is a plus.

Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 48.0 per week
