CCTV Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and vigilant CCTV Operator to join Akari Lighting & Technology Corporation. This is a full-time position based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a CCTV Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities by monitoring surveillance systems, identifying potential threats, and responding promptly to security incidents. This position is essential to our commitment to protecting our assets, personnel, and operational integrity.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor multiple CCTV camera feeds and surveillance systems continuously throughout shifts to detect any suspicious or unauthorized activity
• Respond promptly to security alerts and incidents, documenting all events in accordance with established protocols
• Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including cameras, recording devices, and monitoring systems, ensuring all equipment functions correctly
• Conduct regular system checks and maintenance logs, reporting any technical issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
• Review and analyze recorded footage when incidents occur, providing clear documentation and reports to security management and relevant authorities
• Communicate effectively with other security personnel, facility management, and emergency responders during security incidents
• Maintain detailed shift reports and security logs, documenting all observations, incidents, and actions taken during assigned periods
• Adhere strictly to all security protocols, company policies, and legal requirements governing surveillance and security operations
• Assist in training new security personnel on CCTV systems and monitoring procedures as required

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar security monitoring role, ideally within commercial or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of CCTV camera systems, digital video recording (DVR) equipment, and surveillance software platforms
• Excellent observational and analytical skills with the ability to identify unusual or suspicious behavior quickly
• Sound knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and incident response procedures
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during extended monitoring periods
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professional conduct at all times
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required
• Valid security clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to employment commencement
• Physical fitness and the ability to remain alert and responsive throughout shifts
• Certification in security operations or CCTV monitoring is preferred but not essential for experienced candidate
