CCTV Operator

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and reviewing surveillance camera footage to ensure the safety, security, and protection of company premises, assets, and personnel. The role focuses on the proactive detection, documentation, and reporting of unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activities through continuous CCTV monitoring, timely incident escalation, and accurate maintenance of security logs and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate CCTV systems to detect and prevent security breaches, safety hazards, and suspicious activities.
• Review recorded footage and provide video evidence as required for investigations and incident reports.
• Document and maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily security activities.
• Promptly report and escalate security concerns, emergencies, or unusual events to the appropriate personnel.
• Control access to company facilities by verifying the identity and authorization of visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Respond effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist in investigations by providing relevant information, reports, and CCTV footage.
• Ensure all CCTV equipment and security systems are functioning properly and report any technical issues.
• Support emergency response and evacuation procedures when required.
• Adhere to company security policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• College graduate of any relevant course; relevant security training or certification is an advantage.
• Previous experience in CCTV monitoring, security operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong observational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CCTV and security systems.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
