Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, across OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Transport various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialized cargo like automobile transportation or tanker loads.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery updates, or safety concerns.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
• Prior delivery driving experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed loads, tanker operations, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat).
• Skilled in truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for logistics cargo handling.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard classification for dangerous goods, and safety protocols for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Experience operating trucks with manual transmissions and utilizing GPS navigation systems effectively.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
