CDL-A Driver - Dry Van (Home Weekends)

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a CDL-A Driver specializing in Dry Van freight transportation! In this energetic role, you will operate tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across over-the-road routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your commitment to safety and customer service, will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with dry van trailers across designated routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize routes.
• Comply strictly with FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards during all phases of operation.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure truck safety and compliance.
• Document delivery activities accurately, including logs for hours of service, load & unload records, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving.
• Demonstrated experience with delivery driving, route driving, and freight handling in a professional setting.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules.
• Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker loads, or automobile transportation is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety standards, risk management, and customer service excellence.
