CDL A Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL A Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving, delivery responsibilities, and operating heavy equipment in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting general freight and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This position offers an opportunity to work local and be home daily. For anyone without manual transmission experience, i may be able to help given other experience.

Duties

• Operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, primarily open tops, for the transportation of goods and materials.
• Conduct delivery driving routes efficiently while adhering to scheduled timelines.
• Load and unload trucks safely and accurately, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
• Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations regarding vehicle operation, hours of service, and safety standards.
• Safely operate heavy equipment as required for various job site tasks.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.

Skills

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving and delivery operations.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail during loading/unloading procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
• Ability to work independently and handle physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.

Pay: $27.61 - $33.25 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 – 60.0 per week
