What they need

South Hillsborough drivers: eastern regional miles, home every two weeks, paid start for new CDL grads. Loads stay in the eastern states, so you are not chasing freight across the country. New grads train with a mentor first.

What You Earn

  • Paid every week during training
  • $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
  • About $1,200 a week once solo
  • $0.55 a mile to start, +$0.01 a year up to $0.65
  • About 2,500 miles a week
  • $15 stop pay
  • Weekly direct deposit

Your week Eastern regional lanes, drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home.

From CDL school to your own truck

  • A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
  • Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
  • 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid every week.
  • Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

Straight answers for new drivers

  • "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks.
  • "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
  • "Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
  • "What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
  • "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.

What You Need

  • Class A CDL from your state of residence, 21 or older
  • New CDL grad with 120+ school hours, or 6 months of recent experience
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
  • No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
  • DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen

Benefits After 30 Days

  • Medical, dental, vision and prescription
  • 401(k) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Paid time off and yearly raises
  • Free online degree for you and one family member
  • Pet and rider programs (your dog can ride with you once training is done)
