CDL Boom Truck Operator

Position Summary

Responsibilities

• Operate a boom truck safely and perform pre-trip inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment.
• Perform general marine construction labor, including carpentry, rigging, material handling, and job site cleanup.
• Perform marine carpentry duties as directed, including measuring, cutting, assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining docks, piers, floats, ramps, and other marine structures.
• Follow work orders and assist with dock, pier, and shoreline construction.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow all company safety policies.
• Report equipment issues to the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with crew members and assist with training as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

• Massachusetts Hoisting License (2A and/or 1C).
• NCCCO Certification.
• Construction, marine construction, or heavy equipment experience.
