Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and specialty cargo such as flatbeds, or tankers, following proper handling procedures.
• Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and ensure timely deliveries while managing route driving responsibilities.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to maintain safety standards and vehicle integrity.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
• Ensure proper documentation for freight handling, including load securement, truck loading/unloading procedures, and delivery confirmation.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with Familiarity.
• Must be experience with equipment and oversize loads. Also experience with a tilt trailer to deliver containers for customers.
• Must pass drug screen at any given time.
• Must have own transportation to and from our main location.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
