HOME EVERY NIGHT. NO OVERNIGHT RUNS, EVER.

Most days run Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Some runs start early, occasionally as early as 3:00 am, so you can reach Chicago or another regional stop on schedule. Either way, you finish your day at home.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

You will move Schebler products and materials to customers and job sites, and you will be the person those customers actually see. The driving matters. So does how you handle yourself when you get there.

• Operate company trucks for delivery, pickup, and relocation of products and materials
• Stage items for delivery according to priority and job
• Load and unload your truck
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup
• Inspect loads and secure cargo using straps, blocks, chain, binders, or covers
• Complete vehicle inspections and confirm mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in working order
• Maintain hours of service and vehicle maintenance logs per DOT requirements
• Operate material handling equipment
• Keep the equipment entrusted to you in good condition

WHAT YOU NEED

• Valid Class A CDL
• High school diploma or GED
• Current DOT medical card, or the ability to obtain one
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing, including a Clearinghouse query
• 21 or older, required for interstate driving
• At least one year of truck driving experience preferred

Also helpful: the ability to learn all material handling equipment we use, comfort working independently, and the ability to build good working relationships with employees, supervisors, and customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing this job you will frequently stand, walk, sit, use your hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Occasionally you will help move parts weighing up to 100 pounds, always as a two-person lift with assistance, never alone. You will occasionally be exposed to a moderate noise level.
