CDL Class A Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of vehicles, including but not limited to dump trucks, tractor trailers, and roll-off trucks.

Duties

• Operate commercial vehicles, dump trucks and tractor trailers, to transport freight to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and cargo transported.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Manage the operation of manual transmission vehicles as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker and freight transport.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the trucking or construction industry.
• Familiarity with operating dump trucks and tractor trailers is preferred.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
