CDL Class A Truck Driver - NJ

Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated local routes in NJ, NY, and PA area while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Securing cargo to products delivered arrive undamaged
• Drive various types of trucks including 24 ft flatbeds, tractors, and 48ft flatbed trailers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption while managing route driving responsibilities
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips

Skills

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmission
• Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of freight handling and load & unload procedures
• Strong understanding of route planning, traffic patterns, and safety protocols for commercial driving
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers
• Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and handle heavy cargo efficiently

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
