URGENT HIRING: CDL Dump Truck Driver (Class A/B)

A-Del Construction is currently hiring a skilled and dependable CDL Dump Truck Driver to support our growing fleet. As a Heavy Civil Construction company, we operate across Delaware and seek drivers who are ready to meet the demands of a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Positions & Locations

We are hiring for the following driver position at the below location:

20139 Lowes Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966

Driver may be assigned to either A-Del Construction or Colonial Trucking, depending on fleet needs.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• No license restrictions — MUST be able to operate manual transmission dump trucks
• Must be available to work Saturdays and night shifts as needed — this is a standard part of our operation
• MUST pass DOT drug screen & physical.
• Clean driving record and solid knowledge of safe loading, transport, and unloading practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience hauling construction materials (e.g., asphalt, stone, dirt)
• Familiarity with construction site protocols and schedules

Additional Information

This is a full-time position with steady work and the opportunity to grow with an established company. We highly value reliability and a strong work ethic.
If you are NOT comfortable with weekend or night work, or CANNOT operate a manual transmission, this role will not be a good fit.

Starting wage will be based on experience level and endorsements.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and dirt to designated locations on construction sites.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge for effective handling.
• Operate additional equipment such as water trucks, graders, backhoes, or bulldozers when required.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
