CDL Class B Delivery Driver

Asheville Oil Company is seeking a dependable CDL driver for local deliveries to residential and commercial customers. Deliver heating oil, commercial fuels, propane, lubricants, DEF, and related products while providing courteous service and protecting customer property. What You Will Do

· Safely operate company vehicles and load, transfer, and deliver bulk and packaged products.

· Coordinate with dispatch on routes, schedule changes, and urgent deliveries; report changes to customer tanks, delivery locations, and access instructions.

· Participate in a rotation for emergency deliveries on nights and weekends as needed.

· Complete vehicle inspections and accurate delivery logs and safety records; promptly report equipment problems and safety concerns.

· Follow company procedures and DOT, OSHA, and HazMat requirements, including applicable tank fill, pressure, and system integrity checks.

· Provide professional customer service, answer basic delivery and service questions, and refer concerns, sales opportunities, and program enrollment to the office.

· Pick and load warehouse orders, assist with inventory and warehouse organization, and handle products and equipment safely.

Required Qualifications

· Class B CDL or higher with Tanker and HazMat endorsements, a current DOT Medical Certificate, and a clean driving record.

· CDL without an E restriction for manual transmissions.

· Experience using mobile dispatch, route management systems, and/or fuel delivery CRMs.

· Ability to complete paper or digital delivery and compliance records accurately.

· Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented, with clear communication and a commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

· Forklift and previous delivery experience. Previous delivery experience is not required.

Physical Requirements

· Work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, and varying weather conditions.

· Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials and delivery hose weighing up to 50–75 pounds; handle heavier items with assistance.

· Move equipment and hose through residential yards, industrial facilities, and construction sites; reach overhead, use tools, and work in awkward positions.

· Safely operate company vehicles and wear required personal protective equipment.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
