CDL Class B Driver

Position Overview

Parent Petroleum is actively seeking dedicated and safety-conscious drivers to join our team. We are currently offering a second shift position for a CDL Class B driver, with a preference for Class A licensure, to deliver fuel and lubricant products within the local area. This role does require candidates with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. We emphasize a positive work-life balance, ensuring you are home nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities

Safely delivering bulk and packaged products in and around the Chicagoland area. Responsibilities include pulling hoses, flushing hoses, and adhering to quality control procedures during delivery.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Completing daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and maintaining a clean and safe workspace, both in and out of the vehicle.

• Communication: Effectively using an electronic dispatch module for clear communication.

• Loading/Unloading: Handling bulk products at our plant, involving both loading and unloading procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.

• Skills: Good communication, comprehension, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills.

• License: CDL Class B required, Class A preferred. Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred but not required at the time of hiring.

• Training: Must be willing to obtain Tanker and Hazmat endorsements if not already certified. The company is willing to provide the necessary training.

• Other Requirements: Dependable, reliable, and able to efficiently coordinate work with co-workers. Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.

Work Schedule and Location

• Full-Time Position: This is a second shift position. Enjoy the benefit of being home daily, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Local Routes: Deliveries and work will be focused around the Chicagoland area, minimizing long-haul commutes, and maximizing home time.
