CDL Concrete Boom Pump Operator

Do you have a CDL? Would you like to learn a lucrative new skill? or Are you already an experienced Concrete Pumper?

We are hiring for a candidate who is either already experienced or would like to receive training to be a Concrete Boom pump Operator!

We are a small family business out of Cairo, GA and we are looking to add a few more dedicated staff!

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and position concrete boom pumps at various construction sites.
• Set up, inspect, and break down boom pump equipment before and after each pour.
• Operate the pump and boom to accurately place concrete according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with concrete truck drivers, finishers, supervisors, and other jobsite personnel.
• Monitor concrete flow, pump pressure, hoses, and equipment performance throughout each pour.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or equipment defects promptly.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily equipment and work records as required.
• Keep the pump truck, boom, hoses, and related equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Assist with general jobsite duties when needed.
• Travel to different job sites as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a CDL and no manual restriction.
• Basic math & writing skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Construction experience highly preferred.
• Ability to problem solve under pressure
• Must be a person of high integrity with a can do attitude.

Physical Demands

• Must stand or sit for extended periods, use hands to handle, hold or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with arms, talk and hear.
• Employee will need to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must frequently lift and/or move large and bulky objects 100+ pounds
• Operators are exposed to the elements

Schedule

Typical construction schedule with very early mornings to early afternoon, M-F with occasional weekend jobs. Flexibility is required. We do mostly local jobs so you will be home after work every day. Occasional overnight stays near a jobsite may be required. We cover travel expenses.

Pay & Benefits

Training pay is $25/hr with a generous raise after completion

OR starting $32/hr if there is previous Concrete Pumping experience (which also scales depending on experience)

Sick days, holiday and paid vacation. Time and a half for overtime. We are a small family owned business with a family atmosphere.
