CDL driver Class A ( flatbed)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CDL Class A Flatbed Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers equipped with flatbed trailers to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) assignments. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, cargo handling, and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation with a focus on precision, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Home time : drivers run through Monday- Friday . Saturday and sundays off.

yard location : San Antonio , Kyle , Austin

Routes : Texas / Regional

Must pass DOT drug screen / road test

Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with flatbed configurations, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, equipment as required, ensuring proper cargo securing on flatbeds.( straps , chains and binders , traps)
• Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to follow designated routes, including OTR driving routes, ensuring timely deliveries across regional or long-haul destinations.
• Secure freight properly on flatbed trailers, including freight that requires special handling .
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before and after each trip

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and at least several years of commercial truck driving experience (2-6 years experience)
• Proven experience with flatbed trailers, freight handling, and load & unload procedures
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery execution
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks.
• Experience with flatbed / step deck
• Strong physical stamina for manual handling tasks and the ability to work in various weather conditions

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,400.00 per week
