Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently across over-the-road (OTR) routes, local deliveries, or specialized loads such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers
• Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous or dangerous goods in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations and FMCSA guidelines
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security
• Follow all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT standards for safe driving practices and cargo handling
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

• Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers with manual transmission capabilities
• Strong knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques
• Familiarity with route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning
• Ability to handle hazardous materials safely in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations and Dangerous Goods standards
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
• Experience with delivery driving across various routes including OTR routes and local route driving
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for load & unload operations

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,543.00 per week
