Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of trucks and trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes with precision using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules.
• Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Transport various types of cargo including freight, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, and specialty loads like automobile transportation or tanker shipments.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logs, and inspections in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures.
• Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and forklift operation for cargo handling.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery planning.
• Understanding of hazardous materials regulations and proper handling procedures for dangerous goods.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for load & unload operations.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations governing commercial trucking operations.
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission trucks is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures rigorously while maintaining high productivity levels in logistics cargo handling and delivery driving roles.

Pay: $900.00 - $2,708.89 per week
