CDL Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and possess the ability to operate various types of trucks, including flatbed. This role involves route driving, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including route details and cargo conditions.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on various routes.
• Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
• Manage manual transmission vehicles when required.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Proven experience in truck driving, with a strong understanding of route driving practices.
• Familiarity with operating flatbed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Willing to travel South for the winter
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during loading/unloading processes.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if necessary.
