CDL Truck Driver – Hay Hauling

Hay Plus Farms is looking for a dependable, hardworking CDL truck driver to haul hay. Must have a valid CDL, a good driving record, and a strong work ethic. Experience hauling hay or agricultural loads is a plus. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and willing to work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles safely across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and proper documentation.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving over long distances.
• Familiarity with flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers.
• Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures along with freight handling techniques.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is required.
• Ability to throw straps to secure the hay and to tarp the hay when needed.
• Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems efficiently on over-the-road routes.
• Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements such as doubles required.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
