CDL Driver Recruiter

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated CDL Driver Recruiter to join our talent acquisition team! In this vital role, you will lead efforts to attract, engage, and hire qualified commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders to support our growing transportation operations. Duties

• Develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns to attract CDL drivers through social media marketing, job boards, campus recruitment, and industry events.
• Manage full cycle recruiting processes from candidate sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external recruiting agencies, driving lead generation and talent pipelining efforts.
• Conduct high-volume recruitment activities, including cold calling, research, and outreach to prospective candidates.
• Utilize talent management software, ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems), and HR systems like Workday or iCIMS to track applicant progress and generate recruitment reports.
• Negotiate employment contracts and employment law compliance while aligning hiring strategies with HR legal standards.
• Coordinate employee orientation sessions and assist with employee evaluation processes for new hires.

Skills

• Proven expertise in talent acquisition, full cycle recruiting, and high-volume recruitment environments.
• Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication skills for engaging candidates and hiring managers alike.
• Deep understanding of HR sourcing techniques, employment law in talent management, and HR legal compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with talent management software such as Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, or PeopleSoft; experience with HRIS systems like Kronos or UltiPro is a plus.
• Skilled in social media management for recruitment purposes and leveraging platforms like LinkedIn for candidate sourcing.
• Ability to manage relationships effectively across internal teams, external agencies, and potential candidates.
• Knowledge of technical recruiting practices specific to the transportation industry and CDL licensing requirements.
• Strong research skills combined with cold calling experience to generate candidate leads efficiently.
