Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated CDL Instructor to join our team at Black Sheep Automotive and help shape the next generation of professional truck drivers. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom instruction on topics such as air brake systems, tanker operations, and commercial driving regulations
• Conduct hands-on training sessions in truck driving and tractor-trailer operation, emphasizing safety protocols and best practices
• Assess student progress through practical evaluations, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with industry standards and state licensing requirements
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress throughout the training program
• Ensure all training activities comply with federal, state, and company safety policies
• Stay current on industry regulations, technological advancements, and best teaching practices to enhance instructional quality

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A)
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly tractor-trailer operations
• Prior teaching or adult education experience preferred; classroom experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of trucking safety regulations and industry standards
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage adult learners
• Ability to demonstrate truck driving techniques confidently and safely in a training environment
