CDL Service Technician – Restroom Trailers

Rolling Restrooms is a rapidly growing restroom trailer rental company serving events, construction sites, and industrial projects throughout Houston, The Texas Triangle, and beyond. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking CDL Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude to transport restroom trailers, perform field service, and operate a pump truck as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up restroom trailers at job sites, construction projects, and events
• Safely tow restroom trailers using company trucks
• Set up trailers on-site, including leveling and connecting water and power
• Operate pump trucks to service restroom trailers as required
• Pump wastewater tanks and dispose of waste at approved facilities
• Perform scheduled restroom trailer servicing, including waste extraction, freshwater replenishment, and restocking supplies
• Climb onto and safely move across trailer rooftops to perform routine inspections and cleaning as needed
• Clean, sanitize, and prepare restroom trailers for rental
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any damage, defects, or maintenance needs to management
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Complete service documentation and communicate job completion updates
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and service calls

Requirements

• Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Must be 25 years of age or older to operate company vehicles, per company insurance requirements
• No moving violations, at-fault accidents, or DUI/DWI within the past 5 years — MVR check required
• Experience safely operating commercial vehicles and towing trailers
• Ability to climb onto elevated trailer roofs and work in confined spaces
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Comfortable working outdoors and around sanitation equipment
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening (up to twice monthly at select client sites, including pharmaceutical and construction facilities)
• Willingness and ability to travel out of town, including overnight stays when required
• Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
• Ability to follow established service procedures and safety protocols

Preferred Experience

• Pump truck, vacuum truck, or septic service experience
• Portable toilet and/or restroom trailer servicing
• Commercial trailer towing and equipment transportation
• Wastewater handling and disposal
• Construction site or equipment delivery experience

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Regular weekend and early-morning shifts required based on routing schedule
• Out-of-town travel required, including possible overnight trips depending on job location

Compensation

• $20.50–$26.00/hour, depending on experience
• Significant overtime opportunities and requirements often arise during busy seasons. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the standard hourly rate.
• For overnight out-of-town assignments, a $70 per diem plus lodging will be provided

• This role sometimes requires out-of-town travel with overnight stays — are you willing and able to travel and stay overnight when needed?
• Are you able to lift 50 lbs regularly, climb onto elevated trailer rooftops, and work in confined spaces as part of your normal duties?
• This role involves pumping and handling waste tanks and sanitizing restroom units. Are you comfortable working closely with sanitation equipment on a daily basis?
• Are you at least 25 years old, and do you currently hold a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License?
