Position Overview

As a CDL Shuttle Driver, you will safely transport passengers along designated routes while maintaining excellent customer service and operational reliability. You'll help ensure passengers reach their destinations safely, comfortably, and on time while supporting the daily success of our transportation operations.

This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, reliability, and creating positive passenger experiences.

What You'll Do as a Shuttle Driver:

Safe and Reliable Transportation

• Operate CDL passenger vehicles safely and professionally.
• Transport passengers along assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure timely arrivals and departures while maintaining a focus on safety.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and transportation regulations.
• Monitor driving conditions and adjust safely to changing road environments.
• Maintain a strong commitment to passenger safety at all times.

Passenger Service Excellence

• Welcome passengers with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Assist riders with questions regarding routes, schedules, and destinations.
• Provide assistance to passengers with mobility or accessibility needs.
• Ensure passengers enter and exit the vehicle safely.
• Create a comfortable, respectful, and positive riding experience.
• Serve as a professional ambassador for the zTrip brand.

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Operate accessibility equipment, wheelchair lifts, and ramps when required.
• Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety issues promptly.
• Complete inspection reports and operational documentation accurately.
• Help ensure vehicles remain safe and service-ready.

Communication & Teamwork

• Maintain communication with dispatch and operations personnel.
• Report route delays, service disruptions, or operational concerns.
• Support service reliability through accurate and timely updates.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Contribute to a culture centered on safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications of a Shuttle Driver:

Required

• Valid CDL Class B License or Higher.
• Passenger (P) Endorsement.
• Safe driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism.

Preferred

• Previous experience operating shuttle buses, transit vehicles, or passenger transportation services.
• Experience assisting passengers with accessibility needs.
• Knowledge of transportation safety standards and procedures.
• Background in customer service, hospitality, transportation, or public service.
• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
