CDL Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, to transport goods across designated routes. This role requires adherence to safety regulations and company policies while ensuring timely delivery of freight. Duties

• Operate trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of all cargo.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and hours of service.
• Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays during transport.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Familiarity with various types of trucks including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, and tankers.
• Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong understanding of load securement techniques for different types of freight.
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Excellent navigation skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
