CE&I Senior Design Engineer - Warrington

Altrad are currently seeking a CE&I Senior Design Engineer to join the team based in Warrington.

The successful candidate will provide site-based design front-line support to Commissioning teams, delivering, supporting the delivery of others, and checking detailed designs and changes to meet functional and business needs.

Key Deliverables

• Provide site-based front-line design support to Commissioning teams.
• Deliver, support the delivery of others, and check detailed designs and changes for accuracy and compliance with functional and business requirements.
• Ensure all designs and changes adhere to relevant external and company-specific engineering standards.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across site and the design office.
• Support early career engineers through guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
• Effectively communicate design information to team members and other disciplines, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement within design activities.
• Attend and contribute to meetings on-site, at Sellafield Site, Whitehaven office, and Hinton House, Warrington, as required.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum HND academic qualification.
• Minimum Incorporated Engineer (IEng) professional qualification.
• SC Security Clearance.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer providing site-based front-line design support, including delivering, supporting, and checking detailed designs and changes.
• Experience working on external multidisciplinary projects.
• Working understanding of external standards for PES-based Control Systems and Process Instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with effective verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrable willingness to support, coach, and mentor early career engineers.
• Working understanding of Sellafield Ltd Engineering Standards for PES-based Control Systems and Process Instruments is desirable.
