Cello/Piano Instructor needed

About Us:

Song of Songs Group is a growing music school dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized music education for students ages 4 through adult. We offer private lessons and select group classes in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and motivated instructor who can teach cello and piano, while also supporting administrative operations. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys both teaching and contributing to the behind-the-scenes success of a music school.

Responsibilities:

Instruction :

• Lesson plan and instruct private lessons in cello
• Prepare students for recitals, exams (e.g., ABRSM), and performances
• Track student progress and communicate with parents as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in cello
• Prior teaching experience
• Highly organized and reliable
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Able to commute to our location easily and consistently
• Able to commit to at 1 day on the weekend and 1 weekday preferred

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with ABRSM or similar examination systems
• Administrative or office support experience
• Interest in long-term growth within the school
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Flexible teaching hours (afternoons/evenings and/or weekends)

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
