This is a full-time non-exempt 12-month position scheduled Monday - Friday

Center Floater responsibilities include:

• Engaging in classroom activities and teaching in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program building and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.
• This position assists the Site Supervisor/Center Director in providing high-quality supplemental support in Early Head Start, Head Start, NC Pre-K and Wrap Around programs.
• This individual will step in to assist the classroom in the care and supervision of the children in the absence of a Teacher, Teacher Assistant, or Support and may also be asked to assist the Site Supervisor/Center Director, Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Cook or other staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED, achieved or working towards Child Development
• Associate (CDA) Credential or state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds a CDA.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
