We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Central Sterile Processing Technician Instructor to join our educational team. Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical demonstrations on sterilization processes, medical terminology, and clinical procedures using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard.
• Supervise student clinical rotations in hospital or laboratory settings, providing hands-on training in sterilization techniques, documentation review, and infection control protocols.
• Assess student performance through exams, practical assessments, and project evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Facilitate online instruction sessions, utilizing learning technology tools to enhance student engagement across diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate with clinical partners to coordinate clinical research projects or clinical trials related to sterile processing or infection prevention.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency certifications in compliance with institutional policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sterile processing or Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), with a strong understanding of sterilization techniques and hospital protocols.
• Supervising experience in healthcare education or clinical training environments preferred.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar learning management systems for online instruction delivery.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pathology, radiology, anesthesiology, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), oncology, pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, critical care, nursing practices, and public health concepts.
• Experience in curriculum development, research activities including securing research funding, publishing peer-reviewed papers or medical research articles is highly desirable.
• Strong background working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds in higher education or college faculty roles.
• Excellent documentation review skills and experience in laboratory or clinical research settings involving clinical trials or medical research projects.
• Ability to teach complex concepts related to anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, diagnostic radiology, laboratory experience, and hospital-based patient care procedures.
• Demonstrated commitment to adult education principles with a focus on clinical instruction and medical research applications.

Pay: $30.00 - $30.44 per hour
