Position: Central Supply Coordinator

Central Supply Position Summary:

The Central Supply Coordinator is responsible for ordering, maintaining, and distributing medical supplies, nursing supplies, and durable medical equipment (DME) to support daily operations and ensure quality resident care. This role plays a key part in inventory management, organization, safety, and regulatory compliance within a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.

Essential Duties of Central Supply

• Central Supply & Inventory Management
• Order, receive, stock, and maintain all medical and nursing supplies used throughout the facility.
• Ensure supplies are readily available and properly distributed to all units.
• Monitor supply usage and communicate needs to leadership to prevent shortages.
• Maintain accurate and organized inventory records.
• Assist with upkeep of DME, including cleaning, storage, and replacement when necessary.
• Monitor sharps disposal and complete container change-outs as required.
• Maintain and ensure safe storage of oxygen.
• Nurses’ Station & Unit Support
• Assist in keeping nurses’ stations clean, organized, and stocked.
• Prepare resident information and supplies for appointments, transfers, or discharges.
• Participate in quality assurance activities related to supply management.
• Follow all infection control, safety, and facility policies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Central Supply Requirements

• Central Supply experience preferred, including ordering and stocking supplies
• CNA license preferred (not required unless specified by facility)
• Ability to maintain organized supply areas and ensure proper inventory levels
