As a Centralized Sterilization Courier, you will be the key link connecting our Sterile Processing Department with our outpatient clinics and dental suites. You won't just be driving a route—you’ll be protecting community health by ensuring our clinical teams have the clean, safe, and sterile medical instruments they need to deliver exceptional care every day.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Logistics & Transportation: Safely transport sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment between healthcare facilities on a scheduled daily route.
- Infection Prevention: Collect contaminated medical items and biohazard containers following strict safety, OSHA, and DOT protocols.
- Route Management: Use handheld mobile tech to track deliveries, maintain digital chain-of-custody logs, and adapt to daily traffic or weather conditions.
- Clinical Partnership: Communicate regularly with dental, nursing, and clinical staff to fulfill supply requests and handle urgent delivery needs.
- Fleet Care: Perform routine safety checks on your assigned health center vehicle and ensure onboard safety gear (First Aid and Spill Kits) is fully stocked.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Prior experience in healthcare logistics, courier services, supply chain management, or sterile processing is a strong plus!
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, load, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs or more on a regular basis.
- Key Skills: High attention to detail, excellent time management, dependable work ethic, and a commitment to HIPAA patient privacy standards.
