Job Description

2.1 Strategic Direction & Business Leadership

  • Develop, refine and communicate the vision, mission, values, and long-term strategic goals of Aarya Precast.

  • Prepare and drive 3–5 year strategic plans covering revenue targets, capacity expansion, product mix, market segments (architects, builders, interior designers, landscapers, corporate clients, retail, online), and geographic expansion.

  • Translate strategy into annual business plans and departmental targets, and ensure each HOD understands and owns their part.

2.2 Overall P&L, Financial & Cash Flow Management

  • Take full ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the company and ensure the business meets or exceeds agreed financial targets.

  • Approve annual budgets for all departments and monitor monthly performance against budget (revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, capex, inventory).

  • Ensure healthy cash flow by monitoring debtor days, payment terms, credit limits, and working capital cycles; intervene where collections or cash flow are stressed.

  • Review and approve all major financial commitments – high-value purchases, capex for new moulds, machinery, vehicles, and large marketing spends.

2.3 Sales, Marketing & Business Development

  • Provide strategic direction to Sales & Marketing for all product categories: façades, furniture, landscapes, gifting items, lamps, and infrastructure elements.

  • Approve annual sales plans by region, product, and customer segment; review monthly performance and drive corrective actions where targets are missed.

  • Personally build and maintain relationships with key customers and influencers – leading architects, interior designers, landscaping consultants, builders, PMC firms, government bodies, and corporate clients.

  • Guide development of brand positioning, catalogues, digital presence, exhibitions, and showroom concepts to showcase Aarya Precast’s design capability.

  • Support the Sales team in closing strategic or high-value deals, negotiating commercial terms, and finalizing long-term supply or framework agreements.

2.4 Operations, Projects & Supply Chain Management

  • Ensure smooth, cost-effective and quality-focused operations across the plant and sites, including:

o Mould making and maintenance

o Precast production, curing, finishing and painting

o Storage, packing and dispatch

o Site installation and erection for infrastructure and façade projects

  • Review and approve production capacity plans, shift patterns, outsourcing plans, and subcontracting decisions to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Ensure robust coordination between Design, Production, Purchase, Stores, Projects and Logistics so that customer deadlines are met without last-minute firefighting.

  • Monitor key operational KPIs such as OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery, production yield, rejection rates, rework, wastage of concrete and steel, and machine downtime.

  • Oversee the supply chain for cement, aggregates, steel, colour oxides, mould materials, electrical fittings, etc., to ensure stable supply at optimum cost.

2.5 Design, Product Development & Innovation

  • Provide strategic guidance to the Design/Development team for new product ranges in façades, furniture, landscaping, gifting products, lamps, and urban infrastructure.

  • Approve design concepts, prototypes, and catalog launches, ensuring they match market expectations on aesthetics, durability and price.

  • Encourage collaboration between Design, Marketing and Production to ensure all designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and installation-friendly.

  • Stay informed about global design trends in precast, architecture, urban furniture and gifting articles and drive continuous innovation.

2.6 People Leadership, HR & Culture

  • Build and maintain a high-performance leadership team, including HODs for key functions (Sales, Operations, Projects, Design, Finance, HR, Purchase, Quality, Maintenance).

  • Approve organisation structure, manpower plans, key appointments, promotions, and succession plans for critical positions.

  • Foster a performance-driven, ethical, and collaborative culture, where employees feel respected, safe, and motivated.

  • Ensure robust HR systems are in place: recruitment, induction, training, performance appraisals, incentive schemes, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.

  • Promote continuous learning & development, especially in technical skills, project management, design software, safety, and customer service.

2.7 Governance, Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, statutory and regulatory requirements, including factory laws, labour laws, environment norms, municipal permissions, and other local regulations.

  • Provide leadership for EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) at plant and sites; ensure safety culture, PPE usage, toolbox talks, and incident reporting are rigorously followed.

  • Identify key business risks (market, operational, financial, compliance, reputation) and ensure mitigation plans are in place and monitored.

  • Ensure that contracts with clients, vendors and subcontractors safeguard the company’s legal and commercial interests.

2.8 Systems, SOPs & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure implementation and continual improvement of systems and SOPs across departments (production, dispatch, quality, purchase, HR, sales, finance).

  • Drive the adoption of digital tools – ERP, CRM, project tracking, inventory systems, dashboards – to improve transparency and decision-making.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to reduce wastage, shorten lead times, improve quality, and enhance customer experience.

  • Review major customer complaints, NCRs, and recurring issues, and ensure permanent preventive actions are implemented.

2.9 Reviews, Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Conduct regular review meetings with HODs (daily/weekly/ monthly) to track progress on KPIs, key projects, major risks, and improvement actions.

  • Present monthly and quarterly business performance reports to the Directors, including financials, sales pipeline, major wins/losses, operational performance, and strategic initiatives.

  • Represent Aarya Precast in external forums, industry associations, government interactions, bank meetings, and investor/stakeholder discussions as required.
