About the role

Head of Retail Operations at VP level, responsible for overseeing retail operations of Supermarket in Hong Kong. You will manage a team of 30–50 people across the management chain and frontline store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee store operations across the regional manager to store manager management chain, with accountability for same-store growth, shrinkage rates, and labour efficiency
• Lead key category procurement (fresh produce and vegetables) with capability for global sourcing
• Drive new store openings and expansion, including site selection recommendations, renovation management, and ramp-up period oversight
• Establish and implement store operating standards (SOP), merchandising execution, service standards, and training systems
• Manage frontline team recruitment, scheduling, retention, and employment compliance in the Hong Kong labour environment
• Control store shrinkage, manage inventory turnover, and execute replenishment in coordination with the merchandise team

About you

• 10+ years of retail operations experience with management of 20+ store networks for 3+ years, with demonstrated track record in standardisation, scheduling, and shrinkage management
• Hands-on experience in new store openings or store renovations (site selection, renovation, ramp-up period management)
• Extensive team management experience with familiarity of recruitment and retention in the Hong Kong labour environment
• Strong operational management capability and P&L awareness, with ability to work closely with the merchandise team
• Fluent in Cantonese and English, with Mandarin proficiency; prior experience in supermarket expansion is preferred
