CEO/Manager Job Description:

Lithium Federal Credit Union is a small, member-owned financial cooperative serving our community in Bessemer City, NC. We're looking for a hands-on CEO/Manager to lead the credit union, partner with our volunteer Board of Directors, and keep us strong and independent for years to come. With a strong focus on personalized service, Lithium FCU offers a range of banking services, including loans and deposit accounts - alongside our commitment to financial education and inclusion.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both setting direction and rolling up their sleeves. In a small office, you'll oversee everything from financial performance and lending to compliance, technology, and staff, while staying close to the members we serve.

Duties

• Lead daily operations and report monthly to the Board on financial results and key initiatives.
• Prepare the annual budget and business plan; manage earnings, expenses, net worth, as well as the loan and investment portfolios.
• Oversee lending, serve as senior loan officer, and manage delinquency and collections.
• Keep the credit union compliant with NCUA, BSA/AML, and consumer regulations; coordinate exams, audits, and prepare the quarterly 5300 Call Report.
• Serve as primary technology contact, working with our IT provider, core processor, and other vendors on security and service.
• Manage all vendor relationships, policies, insurance, and the security program.
• Hire, train, and lead staff; process payroll in-house.
• Represent the credit union to members and the community.

Requirements

• 5+ years of credit union or banking experience, including 3+ years in management.
• Ability to read and explain financial statements and present to a Board.
• Comfort working with technology vendors and core systems.
• Strong integrity, judgment, and communication skills; must be bondable.
• Financial management experience, including budgeting, asset/liability management, and financial analysis
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans
• Excellent communication skills for effective board relations and member engagement
• Knowledge of lending, accounting, and consumer protection regulations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
