CEO/MD

About the role

Reporting directly to the Shareholder/Board directors, the CEO/Managing Director will be responsible for developing and executing the company's strategic direction, driving business growth and profitability, strengthening operational performance, and ensuring effective corporate governance. This is a highly strategic leadership position requiring a commercially driven and results-oriented executive who can lead a complex organisation, develop high-performing teams, identify new business opportunities, and create sustainable long-term value for stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's strategic vision, business plans, and long-term objectives in alignment with Board direction.
• Oversee overall business operations and financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, productivity, and return on investment.
• Lead and develop the senior management team while fostering a high-performance and results-driven organisational culture.
• Ensure effective corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the organisation in dealings with key stakeholders, including customers, business partners, investors, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Drive business expansion, innovation, market development, and competitive positioning.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors and provide regular updates on business performance, strategic initiatives, opportunities, and risks.
• Oversee financial management, budgeting, capital allocation, and resource optimisation.
• Lead organisational transformation and change management initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and business sustainability.
• Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities, including partnerships, investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and new market opportunities.

About you

• Minimum 10 years of progressive senior management experience, with significant exposure at Managing Director, Executive Director, or equivalent C-suite level.
• Proven track record in leading business growth, organisational transformation, operational improvement, and profitability enhancement.
• Experience in leading a sizeable organisation or complex business environment, preferably within a listed company or group structure.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, optimise costs, improve profitability, and drive sustainable growth.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and Board-level responsibilities.
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, automotive, industrial, or related sectors will be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies and translate strategic objectives into measurable operational results.
• Strong leadership, people management, and organisational development capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Management, or a related discipline.
