Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ceramic Tile Installer to join our team, focusing on government projects that demand precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to strict safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality ceramic tiles across various construction sites, ensuring all work meets specified blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of large-scale public projects, providing durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces that stand the test of time. Responsibilities

• Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute tile installation projects.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate underlayments or adhesives for optimal tile adherence.
• Install ceramic tiles using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precise cuts, alignment, and spacing according to specifications.
• Manage material quantities through accurate construction estimating to minimize waste and optimize resources.
• Execute related tasks such as rebar installation, concrete pouring, formwork construction, and concrete cutting as needed for project completion.
• Maintain strict compliance with construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence throughout all phases of work.
• Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and flooring installation to ensure seamless project progress.
• Operate equipment including concrete mixers, concrete pumps, heavy lifting machinery, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces for smoothness, levelness, and overall craftsmanship; perform concrete finishing or caulking where required.

Requirements

• Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on tile laying or related trades such as heavy masonry or renovation work.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in ceramic tile installation and general construction work.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
• Knowledge of construction estimating principles to assist in material planning and project budgeting.
• Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
• Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and specialized equipment like concrete mixers or cutting saws safely.
• Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and concrete pumping is highly desirable.
• Competence in carpentry tasks such as metal stud framing or drywall installation when required for project scope.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining quality standards during tile installation or related activities.
• Strong communication skills for interpreting construction plans and collaborating effectively with team members across different trades.
